Make it Reel!

Chemistry@Univie Video Competition 2026

Your studies. Your research. Your perspective.

Show us chemistry through your eyes! Whether it’s the rewarding feeling of a successful experiment, the focus of your research, or those essential breaks with your peers – grab your smartphone and share your story.

Who can participate?

All bachelor’s, master’s and PhD students, as well as postdoctoral researchers up to 4 years after their PhD, who are studying at or employed by the Faculty of Chemistry in the summer semester 2026.

Categories

  • My Studies, My Way: What does student life feel like for you? Show us your daily routines, lab courses, study sessions, challenges and successes.
  • This Is What I Research: Complex science made accessible. Share a glimpse of your lab work, data analysis, simulations, or why your research matters.

What do I need?

No professional equipment needed – authenticity over perfection. All you need is your smartphone and your creativity. To polish your video, you can use free editing tools like CapCut, InShot, or Adobe Premiere Rush.
