Daniel Kaiser among finalists of the Reaxys PhD Prize 2019

Chemist Daniel Kaiser is one of 45 finalists for the Reaxys PhD Prize 2019, as Elsevier now announced. The Prize celebrates innovative and rigorous research by ambitious young chemists. Kaiser has written his doctoral thesis at the Department of Organic Chemistry.

Daniel Kaiser wrote his dissertation under the supervision of Nuno Maulide on "I. Vinyl Cations in Sulfoxide-Mediated Arylations. II Electrophilic Amide Activation for the α-Functionalisation of Carbonyls". His study  "Metallfreie formale oxidative C‐C‐Kupplung durch In‐situ‐Erzeugung einer elektrophilen Enoloniumspezies" was published in the renowned journal Angewandte Chemie. He was selected as finalist in a field of 360 submissions from renowned universities around the globe.
