COMET Projects (peviously K Projects) aim to carry out high-quality research in science - industry collaboration. They are characterised by a medium-term perspective and clearly defined topics with the potential for further development. COMET Projects contribute to initiating product, process and service innovations. COMET Projects open access to the COMET Programme for new consortia and topics.

Consortium: At least one scientific partner and three company partners

Duration: 3-4 years 

Financing:

  • 35% to max. 45% public funding
  • Min. 5% by scientific partners
  • Min. 45% by company partners
  • Max. federal funding: 450 000 Euro/year
  • Max. provincial funding: 225 000 Euro/year

Which costs are eligible for funding? Fundable costs include personnel costs as well as other project-related direct costs (use of RDI infrastructure, third-party costs, travel expenses, material and equipment costs).
