At the end of March, the FFG will launch the call for COMET projects 2026, which will fund highly qualified research in collaboration between science and industry (at least one research institution and at least three companies). COMET projects contribute to the initiation of new product, process and service innovations. A COMET project can consist of up to 10 individual part-projects and be divided into up to 3 areas (thematically and methodologically defined units).

COMET projects are funded for 3-4 years, with up to 2.7 million euros (public funding rate 45%).
