[CALL] Austrian Climate Research Programme (ACRP) – 16th Call

The 18th Call of the Austrian Climate Research Programme funds basic research on climate change and climate actions, adaptation, mitigation and their mutual interrelation. The intent is to provide scientific back- ground for the implementation of the Austrian strategy for adaptation to climate change, the National Energy and Climate Plan (NEKP) and the Paris Agreement. The programme is financed by the Klima- und Energiefonds and administered by the FFG.

Projects of oriented basic research are funded in the following three thematic areas:

  • Understanding the climate system and consequences of climate change
  • Specific support for Austria’s policymakers
  • Transformative change

Projects are funded for 3 years with up to € 200,000.

For the Calls FWF Top Citizen Science und 18th Call of the Austrian Climate Research Programme (focus: thematic area 3 – transformative change) the Univie:Innovation team supports all applicants with support services from Green Policy Lab & Public Engagement Lab. The services include:

Public Engagement Lab

    • Data Management in Citizen Science projects,
    • pilot meetings with stakeholders,
    • workshops on citizen science methods and project management.

Green Policy Lab

    • preparatory input on science4policy dissemination strategies by external experts,
    • workshops with policy makers and relevant stakeholders,
    • design of and support with engagement formats such as sience4policy hackathons.
