Prof. Markus Mitterhauser, Fakultät für Chemie & LBI Applied Diagnostics: Of Mice and Men - Applied Diagnostics

When: Mon, 4.4.2022, 16:00

Where: Loschmidt Hörsaal (HS2) & streaming

Applied molecular imaging is a prerequisite for personalised medicine and targeted therapy. Molecular nuclear imaging is based on the use of radioactive drugs that allow very precise imaging and quantification of the pathologies underlying the diseases. The basis for this concept is the development and availability of suitable radiopharmaceuticals, but also a profound understanding of the mechanisms of action. With this lecture, the most important concepts used here will be presented and discussed.
