Memorial Wall

With the memorial wall located in the foyer of the building at Währinger Straße 42, the Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Vienna commemorates the chemist Prof. Jacques Pollak, who died in the concentration camp Theresienstadt, the two university assistants Kurt Horeischy and Hans Vollmar, who were shot in this building, as well as teachers and students of chemistry at the University of Vienna, who were persecuted, expelled or murdered during the National Socialist regime for racist or political reasons.
