In this session we will discuss the publishing landscape, including the varied roles of Authors, Editors, Referees, and Publishers in connecting communities.
The aim is to share some insights into how to identify the right home for your work, how to navigate the review process and after acceptance how to best promote your discovery to your network and the wider community. Key topics covered include, how to prepare and submit a manuscript, an overview of the peer review process, journal and article level metrics, novel article formats, data sharing, and social media tools. The seminar will be presented by Leanne Mullen a member of Elsevier’s Materials Today team and will conclude with a Q & A section where any questions on any aspect of publishing are welcome.
