Finding new methods in organic synthesis forms the basis for progress in pharmaceutical drug development, materials science and chemical biology and thus plays a central role in our everyday lives. A research team from the Faculty of Chemistry at the University of Vienna has now succeeded in developing a new method for the synthesis of ketones. The results were recently published in the journal "Nature Communications".
