Habilitation
Habilitation is the conferral of the authorisation to teach (venia docendi) a subject area that is within the sphere of activities of the University of Vienna.
The prerequisite for the conferral of the authorisation to teach an entire academic subject at university level is proof of excellent academic qualifications and repeated teaching activities at recognised post-secondary educational establishments proving the applicant’s didactic competences.
