[CALL] EU Mission

20.09.2023

Deadline: 20.09.2023

The EU Mission is looking at new ways to tackle key challenges of our modern societies: regions and communities’ adaptation to climate change, oceans and waters, climate-neutral and smart cities, and soil.

From the five EU Missions, four will be opened for applications until 20.09.2023:

  • Mission Ocean and Waters has 11 topics, touching from Danube river basin lighthouse to Integration of socio-ecological models into the Digital Twin Ocean.
  • Mission Soil, Health and Food has 9 topics, touching from soils in spatial planning to bringing communities and citizens closer to soil.
  • Mission Adaptation to climate change has 3 topics.
  • Mission Climate neutral and smart cities has 1 topic.

The EU Missions are a novelty of the Horizon Europe research and innovation programme looking at new ways to tackle key challenges of our modern societies: regions and communities’ adaptation to climate change, oceans and waters, climate-neutral and smart cities, and soil. Their aim is to deliver concrete results by 2030. How? By putting research and innovation into a new role in combination with new forms of governance and collaboration, and with a strong component of citizen engagement.
