Nuno Maulide receives Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award

Nuno Maulide was awarded the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award, which includes a $40,000 grant and recognises and encourages excellence in organic chemistry. The award ceremony will take place on 19 August 2025 in Washington, DC (United States of America).

The Arthur C. Cope Scholar Awards were established in 1984 by the ACS Board of Directors on recommendation of the ACS Division of Organic Chemistry and under the terms of the will of Arthur C. Cope. The Cope Scholar Awards are supported by income from the Arthur C. Cope Fund, which is administered by the ACS.

Nuno Maulide is head of the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Vienna. He received an ERC Starting Grant in 2011, an ERC Consolidator Grant in 2016, ERC Proof of Concept Grant in 2018 and 2023 and an ERC Advanced Grant in 2023. He is a full member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and was named Austrian Scientist of the Year in 2019.
